Tamarama Distillery is nestled in the embrace of the Pyrenees Ranges with the rich and bountiful sweeping plains of the Wimmera spreading beyond the horizon. The distillery and working farm developed in response to a desire to raise our family in the country near extended family and as an opportunity to let our creative spirits run rampant. Many interesting spirits were consumed and, with the voice of Abraham Lincoln ringing in our ears saying, “The best way of predicting the future is to create it”. So we did, thanks to the many distillers in Australia and Scotland that helped us on our journey!

Our family has embedded itself into the Stuart Mill community and more widely across the eastern Wimmera region. What do you get when you mix a nurse and an engineer together, a distillery of course. Engineering remains a passion and has contributed to Tamarama Distillery’s development, but a mixture of art and science needs greater diversity. Our family has grown and remain true to rural and regional areas with the next generation just starting their adventure.

Tamarama Distillery is a demonstration of our philosophy to add value using malted barley and wheat and elevate these cereal grains to new heights as premium spirits to tantalise and delight your senses. Oak matured whisky, rum and brandy to white spirits that include gin, ouzo, vodka with liqueurs and cocktails offer diverse opportunities for creative spirits to enjoy our creations. We welcome suggestions for new tastes and flavours so don’t be bashful, make a suggestion and see what happens.
